Prelude 9 - E Major
The ninth of the corona preludes, written 04-08/05 and recorded 16/05 - a bit more reflective this time!
Prelude 8 - F# Minor
The 8th of my social distancing preludes, written 22-27/04 and recorded between 22/04 and 27/04, and recorded on 04/05.
Prelude 5 - D Major
The fifth of my social distancing piano preludes. Short but there were plenty of notes in it to keep my occupied!
Prelude 4 - E Minor
The fourth of my social distancing preludes. I love the Chopin and Shostakovich E minor movements a lot, so this is a bit of a tribute to them!
Prelude 3 - G Major
This is the third of my social distancing preludes, written on 31/03 and recorded on 04/04. The idea is to keep two different melodies in the right and left hands going against a repeated right hand shape and a bassline.
Prelude 2 - A Minor
Whilst I'm social distancing I'm trying to write a short piece in every key - here's the second one, written on 25/03 and recorded on 30/03. Apologies for the manky sleeves (cold in my flat!) and weird skip in video (couldn't do it in one take no matter how hard I tried!)
Prelude 1 - C Major
Whilst I'm social distancing I'm trying to write a short piece in every key - here's the first one, written on 18/03 and recorded on 25/03. Kind of melancholy, was feeling a bit uncertain at the start of the shutdown I suppose!
